1. The application

Renamy is a desktop utility for batch file renaming using visual patterns, metadata, local AI features, previews, and rename history.

2. License

A Pro license is granted to one person and may be activated on multiple devices, but only one device may be active at a time. Activating another device may require deactivating the currently active device. The license is for personal or commercial use by the licensed person and may not be resold or shared.

3. Free allowance and paid version

The application includes a free allowance of 50 successfully renamed files. The allowance is intended to let you evaluate the full workflow before purchase. The paid version unlocks unlimited renames and the features described at purchase.

4. Safe use and user responsibility

You are responsible for selecting the correct files, reviewing previews, maintaining backups, and confirming that resulting names are suitable. You must not use Renamy to process files you do not have the right to access or modify.

5. AI limitations

Local AI suggestions may be incomplete, inaccurate, or uncertain. AI-generated segments must be reviewed before applying a rename. Renamy does not guarantee that an AI result will correctly identify every file or document.

6. Rollback limitations

Renamy records rename operations and can attempt to roll them back. Rollback can fail if files are missing, moved, changed outside Renamy, or if the original path is occupied.

7. Updates and third parties

Renamy may provide updates and uses third-party components and services, including Tauri, llama.cpp, Gemma model assets, Hugging Face, and Polar. Their respective terms and licenses may also apply.

8. Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by law, Renamy is provided without promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every workflow. Nothing here limits mandatory consumer rights.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain, subject to mandatory consumer protections applicable in your country of residence.
